DAY  02 : Continued with Temple Visit
  • Nirmalyam (3am to 3.10am )  Among all poojas in the Temple, Nirmalyam is considered to be the most down to earth. The idol is dressed as a simple common man in just a loin string clothe with an ordinary garland of Thechi. It is believed that all the Gods worship the Lord during that time, when he appears in such simple manner other than with heavy diamond studded ornaments. WE get a very short period of roughly 2-3 minutes of this Darshan which is considered to be the very worthy in some one’s life as it is believed that during that short period there’s the presence all GODS as they too are worshipping the Lord. The moment the priest touches the idol for the daily make up; the GODS leave the sanctum sanctorum.
  • Triprayar Temple: Triprayar Temple is the famous "SreeRaama temple" of Middle Kerala. This temple is between Guruvayur and Kodungalloor, near the riverbanks of Kanoly Canal in Triprayar. This temple is to worship God  "SreeRaman",who liberated the Universe from the hands of "Ravana", the king of Rakshasa.

  • Kodungallur Bhagawati Temple: Kodungallur Bagavathy temple - believed to have been constructed during the reign of Chera King, Cheran Senkuttuvan, is famous for its Bharani and Thalappoli festival. The temple requires the pilgrim to carry pepper and turmeric powder as one of the offerings to the deity.

  • Elephant Sanctuary:  The Devaswom maintains a unique elephant sanctuary, the only one of its kind in the World. It has 51 elephants now. These jumbos are the offerings of the devotees to the Lord. A large number of pilgrims and tourists visit this fascinating spot every day. In this vast compound, there are road facilities for pilgrims and tourists to go around.
